Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

Greystar’s Data, Digital, and AI (D2AI) team is looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement and manage Azure‑based infrastructure and cloud solutions, with a focus on Azure Databricks and data processing workflows. The role is 100 % hands‑on and involves ensuring scalability, security and performance of both internal and customer‑facing services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage Azure architecture and resources to meet technical and operational requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, server configurations, SOPs and incident reports.
• Optimize Azure resource configuration for performance, cost and security.
• Monitor health, reliability and availability of Azure services, including Azure Data Factory pipelines and Databricks workloads.
• Collaborate with application development teams to align Azure architecture with application needs and provide guidance on provisioning, scaling and configuration.
• Apply DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices to automate deployment and management of cloud resources.
• Act as Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure stability, performance and rapid issue resolution for cloud‑based products.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Azure infrastructure engineer or similar cloud platform role.
• Strong understanding of cloud scalability, security and performance best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across distributed teams.
