Cloud Engineer – AWS & Kubernetes

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our North American operations team. You will work in a fast‑moving environment, supporting a large AWS production platform while continuously improving automation, reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support a large‑scale AWS production environment across North America.
• Manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and associated cloud infrastructure.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents and service issues.
• Automate operational processes and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Maintain observability with Grafana, Prometheus and related tooling.
• Drive cloud optimisation, platform reliability and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to CI/CD improvements and cloud migration initiatives.
• Participate in a shared on‑call rota (approximately one primary week every 30‑45 days).

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with AWS.
• Solid Kubernetes experience, preferably EKS.
• Background in Cloud, DevOps or SRE operational environments.
• Comfortable supporting live production systems and troubleshooting infrastructure issues.
• Experience with Terraform for IaC.
• Good understanding of monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub.
• Experience with SQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Proactive attitude, ownership mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure.

What we offer

• Salary range $110,000 – $135,000 per year.
• Hybrid work model with 1‑2 days per week in the Houston office.
• Medical insurance covering 80% of costs.
