Clinical/Lab Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Clinical/Lab Instructor to deliver theory and hands‑on instruction for nursing and allied health programs. The role supports day, evening and online cohorts, teaching both traditional and dual‑enrolled students in a lab or clinical setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom and lab instruction covering theoretical concepts and practical applications in accordance with state academic standards.
• Conduct lab/clinic sessions that simulate real‑world industry environments and utilize current technology.
• Evaluate student progress, grade coursework promptly, and ensure safety and security in the instructional area.
• Develop and maintain curriculum, syllabi, lesson plans, and program documentation to meet accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with faculty to define and assess student learning outcomes and submit required reports to accrediting bodies.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and budget requests; support recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.
• Participate in committees, professional development activities, and other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Relevant academic credentials for PN or ADN programs and demonstrated teaching experience.
• Ability to create a safe learning environment and comply with certification/accreditation standards.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, staff, and external partners.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with laboratory and clinical simulation equipment.
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in the health‑care discipline.
