Clinical Specialist – Labor & Delivery

About the role

The Clinical Specialist (CS) is a licensed RN who provides advanced nursing expertise within the Labor & Delivery unit, supporting patient care, nursing staff, and system improvement. The CS works independently to integrate evidence‑based practice, education, and quality initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead orientation, professional development, and competency validation for nursing staff.
• Drive evidence‑based practice, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams as a consultant, change agent, and leader.

Required profile

• Valid RN license and BSN degree.
• Minimum 4 years clinical experience, including at least 2 years in labor & delivery.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role such as Charge Nurse or Team Lead.

Required skills

• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work with personal protective equipment (N95, PAPR, CAPR).
