Clinical Research Nurse

About the role

The Clinical Research Nurse will support the benign Hematology clinical research program at Georgetown University. Working under the guidance of the Principal Investigator, the nurse ensures trial integrity, patient safety, and regulatory compliance throughout each study.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with each study’s protocol and applicable regulations.
• Participate in recruitment and selection of study participants.
• Provide patient education and medical information to study patients.
• Support regulatory staff in maintaining regulatory documents.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external study team members.
• Develop accurate source documentation and collect study data.
• Act as the primary point of contact for trial participants, responding to inquiries within 24 hours.
• Coordinate with Clinical Research Operations Office, Research Pharmacy, Radiology Center, and other support units.

Required profile

• Works under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
• Responsible for accurate completion of visit procedures and data collection.
• Protects the health, safety, and welfare of research participants.
• Acts as study coordinator for research studies.
