Clinical Research Coordinator – Oncology Trials

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator will oversee oncology clinical trials at Vail Health Hospital, ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and accurate data collection throughout the study lifecycle. This is a three‑year, grant‑funded position within a state‑of‑the‑art facility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of clinical trial conduct, including patient recruitment, IRB/Ethics submissions, and protocol adherence.
• Maintain comprehensive trial documentation such as IRB approvals, investigator CVs, consent forms, case report forms, and shipping orders.
• Coordinate patient enrollment strategies, educate participants, and prepare study packets.
• Complete and track case report forms, handle specimen collection, storage, and shipping, and respond to data queries promptly.
• Collaborate with investigators, clinical staff, and sponsors to ensure proper execution of study procedures and accurate billing.
• Monitor dosing, treatment scheduling, and follow‑up activities to meet protocol requirements.

Required profile

• Knowledge of human subjects protection and regulatory requirements for clinical research.
• Experience with IRB processes, trial documentation, and sponsor communications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to liaise between investigators, patients, and sponsors.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
