Clinical Research Coordinator

About the role

Alcanza is expanding its multi‑site clinical research network and seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to support study execution in compliance with GCP, ICH, HIPAA and FDA regulations. The role involves direct interaction with patients, data management, and coordination of site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Screen patients for study eligibility, obtain informed consent, and schedule follow‑up visits.
• Collect vital signs, perform ECGs, and conduct basic lab procedures such as phlebotomy, specimen processing, and shipping.
• Enter data into electronic data capture (EDC) systems, resolve queries, and maintain source documentation.
• Request and track medical records, maintain study logs, and manage study‑specific supplies.
• Conduct monitoring visits, file SAE/Deviation reports, and ensure timely review of results by the investigator.
• Assist with study start‑up activities, attend site initiation visits, and train site personnel on study technology.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Required profile

• Medical Assistant diploma, LPN/LVN, EMT credential, or Associate’s degree with at least 1 year of clinical research or clinical experience.
• Proficiency in basic clinical procedures (blood pressure, vitals, EKG, phlebotomy) and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently.
