Clinical Education Program Director – ACWIH

About the role

The Clinical Education Program Director for ACWIH will lead the development and execution of the clinical education strategy within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) OB/GYN department. This senior position reports to departmental leadership and works closely with faculty, clinicians, and administrative staff to ensure high‑quality educational experiences for trainees.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the ACWIH clinical education curriculum.
• Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and performance evaluation for educational programs.
• Manage program budgets, resources, and compliance with accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with clinical sites to coordinate rotations, simulations, and hands‑on training.
• Assess educational outcomes, collect feedback, and report metrics to senior leadership.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams to integrate research, patient care, and education.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, MPH, or equivalent) with extensive experience in clinical education.
• Proven leadership in managing educational programs, preferably in obstetrics and gynecology.
• Strong understanding of accreditation requirements and curriculum development.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
