Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor – Physician Assistant Program

About the role

Tarleton State University seeks a 12‑month, non‑tenure‑track Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor to join its Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Medicine program. The appointment is based on the main campus in Stephenville, Texas, with teaching responsibilities that may extend to other campuses and online modalities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach didactic and clinical courses for the Physician Assistant graduate program.
• Supervise and evaluate student clinical rotations across affiliated sites.
• Develop, revise, and maintain curriculum and instructional materials.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and conference presentations.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to graduate students.
• Participate in departmental and university service committees.

Required profile

• Terminal academic degree (PhD, DNP, MD, or equivalent) or appropriate professional qualification.
• Eligibility for academic appointment at a public university.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in physician assistant practice or related health field.
• Evidence of effective teaching and curriculum development.
