Clinical Applications Specialist – NY/CT

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist to support eye‑care professionals in Southern New York and Southern Connecticut. The specialist will train operating‑room staff, provide on‑site and remote clinical support, and ensure safe, effective use of Alcon products to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Train operating‑room personnel on Alcon ophthalmic products.
• Deliver on‑site and remote clinical support and technical information.
• Implement equipment and software upgrades at clinical sites.
• Respond to customer inquiries following standard operating procedures.
• Support medical events, demonstrations, and product installations.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers and Sales Representatives.
• Provide feedback to R&D on product performance.
• Document site visits within 48 hours and report adverse events.
• Maintain compliance with GxP regulations and SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school + 10 yrs, Associate + 6 yrs, M.S. + 0 yrs).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical ophthalmology experience, preferably in cataract surgery.
• Ability to travel up to 75 % of the time within the assigned territory.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
