Classroom & A/V Technology Specialist

About the role

The Classroom & A/V Technology Specialist supports and enhances instructional technology across Texas A&M University‑Texarkana. You will ensure that classrooms, labs, conference rooms and simulation spaces operate smoothly and provide reliable audiovisual experiences for faculty, staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, displays, control systems and audiovisual equipment in instructional spaces.
• Support A/V infrastructure such as control panels, signal distribution, conferencing and presentation systems.
• Evaluate existing technology environments and recommend upgrades, standardization and lifecycle refreshes.
• Collaborate with faculty and departments to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
• Provide training, documentation and guidance to users on classroom and A/V systems.
• Participate in after‑hours support for critical events and campus activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of experience supporting instructional or audiovisual technology.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
