Civil Engineer – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the design, engineering and construction of utility‑scale renewable energy facilities. The role involves reviewing civil and structural deliverables, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review civil and structural engineering deliverables, drawings, specifications, calculations and technical reports.
• Coordinate with engineering consultants and contractors to resolve technical issues, manage RFIs and ensure project compliance.
• Develop and maintain preliminary civil design criteria for roads, foundations, geotechnical investigations, drainage, hydrology, O&M buildings, solar tracker foundations and other infrastructure.
• Perform site visits to monitor construction quality, safety, engineering compliance and progress while supporting QA/QC activities.
• Support procurement by reviewing technical evaluations, contractor proposals, equipment submittals and scopes of work for civil construction packages.
• Assist with project estimating, cost forecasting, market analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, KPI metrics and engineering updates for internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• EIT certification preferred; ability to obtain Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure within one year.
• Minimum 4 years of civil engineering experience, preferably on utility‑scale wind, solar or Battery Energy Storage System projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and technical documentation skills.
