About the role

Marshall Dennehey is seeking a Civil Defense Attorney with a focus on general liability to join its New York office. The position offers a collaborative, team‑based environment where you will work on premises, auto, labor law 240 and other liability matters while receiving mentorship from experienced shareholders.

Key responsibilities

• Handle general liability cases, including premises, automobile, and labor law matters.
• Participate in trial preparation and, when applicable, courtroom advocacy.
• Collaborate closely with a team of attorneys to deliver high‑quality client service.
• Engage directly with clients, providing clear communication and strategic counsel.
• Contribute to the firm’s business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil defense, focusing on general liability.
• Trial experience preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, legal writing, research, and communication abilities.
