About the role

Marshall Dennehey, a nationally recognized Am Law 200 civil defense firm, is seeking a Civil Defense Attorney to join its Cincinnati office. This position is designed for attorneys with 5–10 years of litigation experience who want a collaborative environment, meaningful client interaction, and a clear path for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior shareholders and associates on civil defense matters, progressing toward independent case management.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Participate in client meetings, providing strategic advice and updates.
• Collaborate with a team‑based practice to develop case strategies and support senior counsel.
• Contribute to the firm’s culture of mentorship by seeking and offering feedback.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in defense.
• Strong analytical thinking and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Commitment to professional development and willingness to learn from senior attorneys.
