City Dispatcher – Transportation Logistics

About the role

The City Dispatcher will operate from R+L Carriers' Sauget service center, coordinating drivers, freight handlers, and dock operations for LTL loads. This full‑time position ensures timely, safe, and efficient movement of freight across the city and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Manage driver and freight‑handler schedules and assignments.
• Coordinate dock operations and oversee load planning.
• Maintain safety compliance and enforce quality freight‑handling procedures.
• Dispatch LTL loads promptly and accurately.
• Support the Service Center Manager with additional operational tasks.

Required profile

• Proven basic leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and logistical abilities.
• Prior LTL leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of the local city and surrounding area.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
