Cisco SD-WAN Solution Architect (Orlando or Miami, FL)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Cisco SD‑WAN Solution Architect to lead the design, validation, and deployment of enterprise‑wide SD‑WAN solutions across multiple sites in the Orlando or Miami area. The role combines deep technical expertise with strategic architecture governance to ensure repeatable, scalable, and resilient network implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate Cisco SD‑WAN architecture and detailed designs against best‑practice guidelines, assessing topology, hub/mesh, routing, segmentation, multicast, and resiliency.
• Provide deep technical guidance on Cisco Catalyst SD‑WAN/Viptela, including configuration groups, site personas, device variables, and automation recommendations.
• Support lab testing, integration, and production deployment activities, including cut‑over planning, rollback procedures, and post‑deployment issue resolution.
• Lead technical design reviews and architecture governance sessions, tracking risks, decisions, and remediation actions.
• Develop repeatable deployment standards, playbooks, and lessons‑learned documentation for future rollout waves.

Required profile

• 20+ years of experience in enterprise networking, network architecture, or network engineering.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Cisco SD‑WAN (Viptela) design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to assess large, distributed enterprise environments and recommend standardization, automation, and orchestration improvements.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to senior technical and business stakeholders.
