Child and Adolescent Prescribing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Remote, 1099)

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates partners with Lyra Health, a provider of evidence-based mental health care, to recruit a contract Child and Adolescent Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The work is virtual and remote, with care provided to children, teens and young adults through live 30-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-ups. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health medication management via a 60-minute intake appointment and regular follow-ups
• Conduct mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations and longitudinal medication treatment
• Build patient-centered treatment plans, document recommendations, message patients and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Deliver safe, evidence-based medication treatment following clinical best-practice guidelines (measurement-based care, patient-centered care, minimizing risks and maximizing benefits)

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited CCNE Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program, or an accredited ARC-PA program with PANCE certification; preference for a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, a post-graduate psychiatry fellowship or a Doctor of Medical Science with a psychiatry concentration
• Unrestricted state license in Nebraska and a minimum of 2 years in practice
• Strong preference for NPs and PA-Cs with an active DEA license
• Preference for providers with additional certification or clinical experience with minors
• Office space available to see clients, and ability to treat patients across a wide range of diagnoses, complexities and severity levels
• Full-time resident of the United States
