Child Abuse Pediatrician (Physician)

About the role

Ochsner Children’s is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Child Abuse Pediatrician to lead and expand its system of care for suspected abuse and neglect across New Orleans and the Gulf South.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee program development to provide outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department consults in collaboration with a new parish‑funded child advocacy center.
• Coordinate the new service line with the upcoming trauma program and the opening of a comprehensive pediatric emergency department in early 2028.
• Deliver patient‑ and family‑centric medical evaluations and care with strong support from Children’s Hospital leadership.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in pediatric medicine with expertise in child abuse evaluation.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary programs and collaborate with advocacy partners.
