Chief Steward

About the role

We are looking for a Chief Steward to lead the stewarding team at our Atlantic Fields location in Hobe Sound, FL. The role oversees cleanliness, safety compliance, and equipment management within the culinary department, ensuring a premium experience for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement stewarding strategies aligned with culinary and food & beverage goals.
• Supervise and train a small team on proper cleaning methods and equipment operation.
• Schedule staff to meet business demands, special projects, and events.
• Maintain inventory, par levels, and requisition supplies for food and beverage service.
• Ensure all work surfaces, dishware, glassware, and equipment are clean, sanitized, and functioning daily.
• Coordinate with night cleaning staff and attend Banquet Event Order meetings to adjust service needs.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; culinary degree or certification preferred.
• At least 3 years of managerial or leadership experience in a high‑end restaurant, resort, or hotel.
• Minimum one year of stewarding or dishwashing experience in a luxury setting.
• Knowledge of banquet services and food safety standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites.
