Chief Pharmacy Officer

About the role

Gifthealth is seeking a Chief Pharmacy Officer to lead its pharmacy vertical. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CPO will shape strategy, operations and clinical excellence across pharmacy quality, operations and the gastroenterology program.

Key responsibilities

• Own strategy, operations and performance of the pharmacy vertical, including quality, operations and GI program.
• Act as executive clinical liaison to pharmaceutical manufacturer partners, ensuring pharmacy capabilities support new logos from day one.
• Lead accreditation, regulatory compliance and quality programs across all pharmacy operations (e.g., URAC, ACHC).
• Partner with AI and technology teams to embed pharmacy clinical intelligence into the Gifthealth platform (Digi+Hub).
• Drive patient adherence and treatment continuity metrics in specialty and GI therapeutic areas.
• Build, mentor and retain a high‑performing pharmacy team, fostering a culture of clinical excellence.
• Collaborate with Operations and Enterprise PMO on intake‑to‑delivery workflows to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) with an active pharmacist license in good standing.
• 10+ years of progressive pharmacy leadership, including executive experience in specialty pharmacy, hub services or direct‑to‑patient distribution.
• Deep knowledge of specialty and gastro‑enterology therapeutic areas and the pharmaceutical manufacturer landscape.
• Proven track record leading accreditation (URAC, ACHC) and quality management programs.
• Experience managing hub programs, patient support services and co‑pay/patient assistance oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale pharmacy teams in a high‑growth, technology‑driven environment.
