Chief Operating Officer (COO)

【Summary】A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to work closely with executive leadership in driving overall business operations.This role is responsible for leading operational excellence across multiple business functions while overseeing production, sales, finance, quality, and organizational performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong business acumen who can translate strategy into execution and foster sustainable business growth.【Essential Duties】・Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute corporate strategies and business initiatives.・Oversee daily operations across production, sales, quality, finance, and administration.・Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.・Manage operational budgets and P&L while ensuring financial targets are achieved.・Establish, monitor, and improve KPIs across departments through data-driven decision making.・Lead cross-functional collaboration to improve communication and eliminate operational bottlenecks.・Support business development activities and strengthen customer relationships.・Lead organizational change while developing and mentoring management teams.・Oversee operations across multiple facilities.・Ensure compliance with quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and company policies.・Present operational and financial performance reports to executive leadership on a regular basis.【Qualifications】・15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role within the automotive manufacturing industry.・Proven experience leading manufacturing operations in a multi-site environment; experience managing organizations of 100+ employees is preferred.・Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production management, supply chain, and continuous improvement methodologies.・Demonstrated success managing P&L and driving operational performance and profitability.・Strong leadership, organizational development, and team-building skills.・Experience implementing ERP systems and leveraging manufacturing technologies to improve operational efficiency.・Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.・Knowledge of automotive quality management systems (e.g., IATF 16949 and/or ISO standards).・MBA or other advanced business degree is preferred.・Japanese language skills are not required.・Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
