Chief Executive Officer

About the role

Novara, an early‑stage AI‑native company, is looking for a Chief Executive Officer to turn the founder’s ambitious long‑term vision into a focused, high‑velocity organization. This is the most critical immediate hire, responsible for company‑wide execution while the founder retains strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the founder’s long‑term strategy into an annual plan, quarterly priorities, and a disciplined operating cadence.
• Create a unified management system across product, engineering, operations, growth, and organizational development.
• Set goals, budgets, KPIs, decision rights, and accountability mechanisms that accelerate execution without adding bureaucracy.
• Build and lead an effective leadership team, clarifying ownership and fostering a culture of candid review and follow‑through.
• Support fundraising, major corporate partnerships, and other high‑stakes external relationships.
• Design an AI‑native operating model where automation provides leverage while humans retain judgment and accountability.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a founder, CEO, COO, GM, or early‑stage executive with direct responsibility for business outcomes.
• Demonstrated success in both 0‑to‑1 creation and 1‑to‑10 scaling of organizations.
• Strong product and commercial judgment, with the ability to prioritize, cut weak initiatives, and concentrate resources.
• Experience managing distributed or international teams across technical and business functions.
• Practical understanding of AI‑native organizations, knowing where AI can automate work and where human judgment is essential.
• Ability to partner closely with a visionary founder while independently owning execution.
• Clear, direct communication, high integrity, low ego, and a track record of learning from failed decisions.
