Chief Estimator – Mechanical Construction

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Chief Estimator to lead the estimating function for mechanical construction projects. In this senior role you will drive the creation of competitive, strategic proposals that win work across HVAC, plumbing, and specialty mechanical sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and energize the estimating process for all project bids.
• Develop and refine competitive proposals that align with business growth objectives.
• Establish and strengthen estimating best‑practice standards.
• Champion innovative approaches for design‑build and energy‑focused projects.
• Leverage past project data to inform forward‑looking estimating decisions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and field teams to ensure accurate and timely estimates.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years experience estimating HVAC and/or plumbing projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and strong expertise in Quick Pen.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
• Effective collaboration skills in a high‑performance environment.
