About the role

The Chief College Pathways and K-12 Partnerships Officer provides strategic leadership for expanding postsecondary opportunities for secondary students across South Texas. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Success, the role oversees Dual Credit, Early College High Schools, P-TECH, CTE pathways, and other innovative initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions from high school to Texas A&M University–Kingsville.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional strategy to expand Dual Credit, ECHS, P-TECH, academic, CTE, and workforce-aligned pathways.
• Set short‑ and long‑term goals for growth, student participation, geographic reach, credential attainment, and completion.
• Serve as senior relationship manager with superintendents, district administrators, principals, counselors, and CTE leaders to build and maintain partnerships.
• Lead discussions with school districts to identify needs, design customized partnership solutions, and negotiate agreements.
• Collaborate with academic colleges, enrollment management, and workforce partners to create coherent academic and career pathways.
• Supervise the Director of Dual Credit, evaluate performance, and ensure high‑quality service to districts, students, and families.
• Monitor program capacity, identify resource needs, and support compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
