About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Chemistry Lab Assistant to support science faculty at Chattahoochee Technical College for the Fall 2026 semester. The position runs from August 17 to December 14, 2026, with a day‑shift schedule. The role involves preparing laboratory materials, assisting with experiments, and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and set up chemistry lab equipment and materials for faculty‑led sessions.
• Assist faculty during laboratory activities, ensuring safety and proper procedure.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and inventory of supplies.
• Support students with basic laboratory techniques as directed.
• Document experiment results as instructed.
• Assist in disposal of chemical waste following safety protocols.

Required profile

• Successful completion of General Chemistry I and II laboratory courses (CHEM1211L, CHEM1212L) with a minimum grade of B.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer literacy skills.
• Eligibility to undergo background, motor‑vehicle, and reference checks.
