About the role

Stepan is seeking a Chemical Operator to join its production team at the Wilmington, NC site. The role focuses on safely operating and monitoring resin manufacturing processes within a well‑established chemical plant that values teamwork and continuous skill development.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot resin manufacturing equipment to ensure product quality and reliable production.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inspections, corrective actions, and routine tasks.
• Unload and handle raw materials in accordance with safety and operating guidelines.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance, submit work notifications, and perform minor mechanical “fix‑it‑yourself” tasks.
• Participate actively in safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to SOPs.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, experienced team.
• Willingness to learn and expand technical skills in a stable production environment.

Required skills

• Experience with resin manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout safety procedures.
• Basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting abilities.
