Charge RN – Nursery (Full‑time)

About the role

The Nursery Charge RN leads the nursing team in delivering high‑quality care to infants and other patients. Working under direction, you will coordinate shift activities, supervise support staff, and ensure safe, compassionate care throughout the unit.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care and documentation.
• Delegate assignments, supervise support staff, and mentor new team members.
• Administer IV medications, parenteral nutrition, and blood products while monitoring patient response.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring compliance with health‑safety regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
• Maintain a safe environment, protect patient confidentiality, and act as patient advocate.

Required profile

• Associate of Nursing degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Active Louisiana Registered Nurse license and CPR certification.
• NRP certification required; PALS and ACLS preferred.
• Current knowledge of neonatal clinical practice and ability to operate complex medical equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
