Changeover Laborer - Event Setup and Breakdown

About the role

Legends Global is hiring a Changeover/Set-Up Laborer for the SNHU Arena in Manchester, NH. The laborer assists with preparing and converting the arena for concerts, sporting events and special functions, making sure the facility is set up safely, efficiently and to event specifications. It is a part-time, event-based position scheduled around the arena's event calendar, working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, often overnight, on weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and breakdown, including placing and removing chairs, tables, risers, stages, stanchions, podiums and other equipment
• Build and dismantle concert stages and assist with arena conversions
• Install and remove hockey dashers, glass and related equipment
• Set up and break down sporting equipment as needed
• Assist with ice installation and maintenance for events
• Read and interpret event floor plans to ensure accurate and efficient setups
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and platform lifts if certified
• Safely use hand tools and small power tools, maintain a safe work environment and report accidents, damages or safety concerns
• Communicate with supervisors and team members, including using radios when needed, and help with general facility upkeep during and after events

Required profile

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience with similar functions desirable
• Licensed and qualified forklift/platform lift operation desirable
• Experience in event venues, arenas or guest services is a plus
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, mid-shifts, early mornings and holidays

Required skills

• Use of hand and small power tools safely and effectively
• Reading and understanding room-set-up floor plans
• Following verbal and written instructions
• Medium lifting up to 65 lbs and standing and walking most of the shift

Compensation is competitive hourly pay. The role has no supervisory responsibilities.
