Changeover Crew - North Charleston Coliseum

About the role

Legends and ASM Global are hiring a Changeover Crew member for the North Charleston Coliseum, Convention and Performing Arts Centers. The crew performs a wide range of physical tasks setting up and breaking down equipment for events, reporting to the Changeover Manager. This is a part-time, on-site, hourly, non-exempt position.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and break down equipment as directed, including stages, risers, seating, basketball and hockey systems, chairs and tables, lobby, dressing rooms and press room.
• Survey equipment before and after events for damage or disrepair and report it.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment and perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Assist staff in all areas of operations and carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read and write English and to access all areas of the facilities.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift at least 50 lbs, and to walk long distances and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Solid decision-making, organization and interpersonal skills, and good verbal communication.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in high-stress situations.

What we offer

• Starting rate of $20.00 per hour, competitive and commensurate with experience.
