Chain Director

About the role

The Chain Director is responsible for developing, executing and delivering the Annual Business Plan for regional chain accounts within the assigned geographic area. Reporting to the Business Unit VP, the role leads a team of Key Account Managers and collaborates with national sales, marketing, legal and distribution partners to drive volume, distribution, space and advertising goals.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Business Unit leadership to grow regional chain volume, distribution and space to meet ABP targets.
• Lead the regional chain selling strategy for the premium beer category, using data‑driven insights.
• Develop and manage syndicated data tools to provide actionable analytics for internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee selection, staffing and development of Key Account Managers, building a pipeline for future leadership.
• Coordinate with the National Chain Sales Organization, field sales teams and distributors to align on priorities and translate national programs to local execution.
• Conduct business unit breakout sessions, distributor chain summits and DMA road‑show presentations to educate and engage chain partners.
• Drive Constellation’s space management initiatives across chains and distributors.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large, complex sales teams in the beverage or consumer packaged goods sector.
• Strong strategic partnership skills with senior business leaders and regional general managers.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate and develop talent.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
