Certifying Staff Quality Management Inspector

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Certifying Staff Quality Management Inspector to join its Sterling, VA facility. The role supports product assurance, ensuring aerospace components meet FAA/EASA regulations and Airbus quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect finished aerospace products and GSE tools for compliance with FAA/EASA Part 21 specifications.
• Perform first‑article inspections and issue EASA Form 1 for all new material.
• Maintain material batch and manufacturer traceability records in SAP.
• Review, analyze, and approve articles under FAA/EASA Part 145 and special certification processes.
• Participate in a rotating 24‑hour on‑call schedule and issue discrepancy reports and unserviceable tags.
• Monitor storage conditions of spare parts and assist in resolving customer complaints related to proprietary parts and supplier quality.
• Ensure integrity of the quality system and sign airworthiness certificates as required.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations, especially Part 21 and Part 145.
• Experience with aerospace material inspection and first‑article inspection processes.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and handle on‑call responsibilities.
• Attention to detail for traceability and documentation compliance.
