Job description
We are seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to provide quality assurance for Bureau Veritas clients during construction projects in Bainbridge, GA. The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers, fabrication shops, contractors and other stakeholders to define work order requirements, resolve issues, and ensure inspections are performed according to contract specifications. Responsibilities include on‑site inspections, generating and submitting timesheets, billing and expense reports, and producing detailed inspection reports with photos using Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat. The role requires a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable high‑speed internet, and the ability to cover travel expenses up to two weeks in advance. Candidates must hold a current American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector credential; Non‑Destructive Testing Level II or III and NACE/AMPP Level II are preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Calendar) and Adobe Acrobat is required, as is the ability to read complex design and fabrication plans, use PPE appropriately, and capture images for client documentation. The position offers an hourly rate of $35‑$50, with flexibility to work remotely, on‑site, or from Bureau Veritas offices as needed.
