Centrifuge Operator – Heavy Equipment & Waste Handling

About the role

HPC-Industrial is seeking a Centrifuge Operator to run a variety of industrial equipment at its Norco, LA facility. The role involves operating centrifuges, belt presses, filter presses and related machinery while ensuring safe waste handling.

Key responsibilities

• Follow health and safety policies and complete daily equipment checklists.
• Operate decanter centrifuges, belt presses, filter presses and ancillary equipment such as pumps and conveyors.
• Run special equipment including centrifugal and positive‑displacement pumps and 5K pressure washers.
• Secure containers with chock blocks or jack stands and handle waste unloading from trucks.
• Complete required paperwork for waste tracking and adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Vocational training with classroom safety instruction and on‑the‑job experience.
• English comprehension sufficient for safety training and emergency instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.
• Knowledge of emergency equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers) and possible TWIC credential.
• At least 6 months experience operating centrifuges (preferred).
• Ability to work in a team and lift up to 50 lb.
