Centrifuge Operator – Heavy Equipment & Waste Handling

About the role

HPC-Industrial is seeking a Centrifuge Operator to work on‑site in Norco, LA. You will operate a variety of heavy equipment, handle waste unloading from trucks, and follow a Monday‑Friday schedule of 40‑43 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Follow health and safety policies and complete daily equipment checklists.
• Operate decanter centrifuges, belt presses, filter presses and related ancillary equipment such as pumps and conveyors.
• Run centrifugal and positive displacement pumps and 5K pressure washers.
• Ensure equipment is used safely and in accordance with SOPs.
• Complete waste‑tracking paperwork and secure containers with chock blocks or jack stands.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Vocational training with classroom safety instruction and on‑the‑job experience.
• English comprehension sufficient for safety training and emergency instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company or personal vehicle for business use.
• Knowledge of emergency equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers) and possible TWIC requirement.
• At least 6 months experience operating centrifuges preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment and lift up to 50 lb.
