Cellular Tester – Mobile Engineer

About the role

The Cellular Tester will work on validating mobile devices and ensuring they meet wireless standards. This role involves extensive lab and field testing of 4G/5G technologies and collaboration with OEMs and chipset makers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform device testing and certification for 4G and 5G (SA, NSA, mmWave) in both lab and field environments.
• Analyze call flows and protocols such as RRC and NAS across various scenarios.
• Collect, triage, and interpret logs from iOS and Android devices.
• Utilize device logging tools including XCAP, XCAL, and QXDM.
• Develop data visualizations and analytics using Tableau, Databricks, or similar cloud‑based tools.
• Communicate test findings and device issues clearly to OEMs and chipset manufacturers.

Required profile

• 7+ years of device testing and certification experience.
• 2+ years of hands‑on testing of iOS and Android devices.
• 2+ years of experience with device logging tools (XCAP, XCAL, QXDM).
• 2+ years of experience with data analytics or visualization tools.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
• Strong understanding of wireless technologies and network protocols.

• RRC and NAS protocol knowledge.
