Cellar Technician – Winemaking & Production

About the role

We are looking for a Cellar Technician to support the winemaking process at our Robert Hall Winery. You will work hands‑on with grapes, fermenters and equipment, ensuring high‑quality wine production while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with unloading trucks and receiving crop at the reception area.
• Perform crush additions, rehydrate yeast, inoculate fermenters and make fermentation additions.
• Operate pump‑over equipment, clean and sanitize all winery tools and surfaces.
• Load and unload bulk trucks, mix and sample wine tanks, fill and empty barrels.
• Operate a forklift safely and follow all safety and food manufacturing protocols.
• Act as a Sustainability Champion by supporting the company’s B‑Corp sustainability goals.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience in wine production or a related industry (preferred).
• Ability to work any shift, seven days a week.
• Strong ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Equipment cleaning and sanitation.
• Understanding of wine fermentation processes.
• Ability to read work orders and gauge tanks accurately.
