CDL‑A Truck Driver – Local Routes

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking reliable CDL‑A drivers for local city delivery and pickup routes from its Fort Pierce service center. Drivers return to the terminal each day, enjoy home‑daily schedules, and start at $31.55 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city deliveries and pickups with multiple stops per shift.
• Operate scanning equipment to track freight.
• Interact directly with customers and handle lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.
• Return to the Fort Pierce terminal daily.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, ≤3 moving violations in 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 with FMCSA military transition qualification).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop safely.

Required skills

• CDL Class A operation.
• Scanning equipment operation.
• Electric pallet jack operation.
