CDL‑A Truck Driver – Local Deliveries

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking reliable CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery (P&D) drivers for its Scott, LA service center. This full‑time position offers a Monday‑Friday schedule with various shifts, allowing drivers to return home each night.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city‑side delivery and pickup of freight, returning to the terminal daily.
• Complete multiple stops per day while using scanning equipment to track shipments.
• Interact directly with customers and handle lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.
• Maintain safe operation of all equipment and adhere to company safety standards.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of verifiable driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Good driving record (no serious violations, ≤3 moving violations in the past 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA military‑to‑civilian transition criteria).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
