CDL‑A Local Truck Driver – Full‑Time

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking reliable CDL‑A drivers for local city pickup and delivery operations. You will return to the terminal each day after completing multiple stops, ensuring timely freight movement while enjoying a home‑every‑night schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city deliveries and pickups of freight, returning to the service center daily.
• Make multiple stops per shift, interact directly with customers, and operate scanning equipment.
• Handle lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack when required.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and adhere to safety and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license with at least 1 year of verifiable combined driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, no more than three moving violations in the past 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA military‑to‑civilian transition criteria).
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop safely.

Required skills

• CDL Class A operation.
• Proficiency with electric pallet jack equipment.
• Experience using scanning devices for freight handling.
• Haz‑mat endorsement (preferred).
• LTL (Less‑Than‑Truckload) experience (preferred).
