CDL‑A Local Truck Driver – City Delivery

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking experienced CDL‑A drivers for its Yemassee, SC service center. As a City Pickup & Delivery (P&D) driver you will perform local freight deliveries and pickups, returning to the terminal each day. The position offers a stable Monday‑Friday schedule with various shift options and a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multiple city stops each workday, delivering and picking up freight.
• Operate scanning equipment to track loads.
• Handle lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack when required.
• Interact directly with customers, ensuring professional service.
• Return to the home terminal daily after completing routes.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, ≤3 moving violations in the past 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 with FMCSA military‑to‑civilian transition approval).
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift and stoop safely.
• Dependable and punctual.

Required skills
