CDL‑A City Delivery Driver – Carson, CA

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking reliable CDL‑A City and Pickup/Delivery (P&D) drivers for its Carson, CA service center. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, with various shifts, and drivers return to the terminal each day, allowing them to be home every night.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city deliveries and pickups of freight with multiple stops per day.
• Operate scanning equipment to track shipments.
• Interact directly with customers and handle lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.
• Return to the terminal daily after completing routes.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license with at least 1 year of combined Class A experience within the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, ≤ 3 moving violations in 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA specs for military transition).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.

Required skills

• CDL Class A operation.

• Scanning equipment proficiency.
• Endorsements: Doubles/Triples, Tanker, Haz‑mat (preferred).
