About the role
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs is seeking a CDBG Grants Consultant to support the administration of Community Development Block Grant programs. In this role you will help ensure that grant activities comply with federal and state regulations while advancing the department’s mission to build strong, vibrant communities.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of CDBG grant applications, from solicitation to award.
- Monitor grant compliance, track expenditures, and prepare required reports for state and federal agencies.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to local jurisdictions and partners on CDBG requirements.
- Maintain accurate grant records, databases, and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve grant processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, finance, urban planning, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in grant management, preferably with CDBG or other federal grant programs.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
