Catering Server - Alamodome

About the role

ASM Global, which manages public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Catering Server with SAVOR Alamodome in San Antonio. The server answers questions about food, beverages and the facility, and provides attentive, courteous and efficient service so that food is served and delivered promptly. The position is part-time, hourly and non-exempt.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests enthusiastically and serve alcoholic beverages in line with company standards.
• Answer guest questions about food, beverages and the facility accurately and in a friendly way.
• Identify food orders when ready and deliver them to tables on time.
• Develop relationships with guests and communicate with food and beverage staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Do side work during non-busy hours and prepare the work area for opening, mid-shift or closing.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized and stocked work area, following checklists and standard operating procedures.
• Punch the clock in full uniform, ready to work, no earlier than five minutes before the shift.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid TABC and Food Handlers Permit.
• 2 years of serving experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift, and to lift, push and pull up to 30 lbs (moderate physical effort).
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and to work additional hours depending on workload and staffing.
• English preferred as primary language, but not required.

Required skills

• Basic working knowledge of food and beverage.
• Ability to work in a team and to multi-task in different areas.
• Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
