Category Manager – Field (Waters & Premium Beverages)

About the role

The Category Manager will drive sales, shopper centricity, and category growth for Nestlé Waters and Premium Beverages. Acting as a strategic partner to retailers, you will provide thought leadership, insights, and analysis to influence merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Build strategic relationships with retailers, serving as the “Voice of Choice” for category insight needs.
• Implement Nestlé’s category vision across merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelf placement.
• Use analytical tools, syndicated and customer‑specific data, and shopper insights to shape retailer strategy.
• Identify and sell insight‑based growth opportunities, creating consistent category summaries.
• Translate insights into actionable growth plans and activations across the 4Ps, delivering strategic narratives to influence retailer actions.
• Lead merchandising and assortment initiatives, including planograms, SKU prioritization, and share‑of‑shelf optimization both in‑store and online.
• Partner with Sales and Category Strategy teams to align retailer engagements with category solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in category management within consumer packaged goods or beverage sectors.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret syndicated data and shopper insights.
• Demonstrated ability to influence retailer strategy and drive category growth.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting strategic narratives and collaborating across internal teams.
