About the role
Alcon is seeking a Cataract Account Manager to drive sales of surgical ophthalmic products within a designated territory in Nebraska. The role focuses on building relationships with eye‑care professionals, promoting Alcon’s cataract solutions, and achieving sales targets.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets for specific accounts or territories.
- Promote and sell Alcon products through various sales activities.
- Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and high‑volume users.
- Discover and develop new business opportunities.
- Execute a sales plan and strategy.
- Frequently visit customers and provide necessary support.
- Participate in events and meetings to update customers on products, services, and prices.
- Create and maintain a customer database.
- Conduct competitive market analysis to protect market share.
- Provide timely reports and accurate documentation of sales activities.
- Lead local team activities and coordinate meetings with appropriate resources.
- Maintain a professional image, including personal presentation and company vehicle condition.
- Perform administrative duties to ensure efficient territory operation.
- Continuously upgrade knowledge of ophthalmic specialties.
- Identify equipment opportunities and support market development.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent directly related experience.
- Experience in surgical or medical‑device sales preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Professional demeanor and presentation.
