Casualty Claims Associate

About the role

The Casualty Claims Associate provides strategic claim consulting and advocacy services for Greystar's real‑estate portfolio. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders while supporting the growth and innovation of the claims practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full claims workflow from initial intake through resolution.
• Gather, organize, summarize, index and maintain claim‑related documents from multiple sources.
• Ensure high‑quality, consistent execution of claim services and appropriate use of all required systems.
• Coordinate with other business segments to align claim handling as needed.
• Continuously improve quality and innovation by evaluating data and identifying solutions.
• Promote collaboration and teamwork to develop comprehensive claim solutions.
• Maintain direct relationships with key clients, including Risk, Legal, and Property Management teams.
• Respond to due‑diligence requests for disclosure of claims or litigated matters.
• Contribute to claim reporting analytics and cross‑line claims assistance (General Liability, Environmental, Professional Lines).

Required profile

• 4‑year college degree required; business‑related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of liability claims experience, preferably with an insurance carrier or third‑party administrator.
• Liability claim experience within real‑estate and hospitality sectors required.
• Knowledge of claim handling processes, procedures, and related legal codes.
