Cashier (Part‑Time)

About the role

Join Sedano’s Supermarkets as a part‑time Cashier, working the afternoon shift at our Miami store. You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing friendly service while accurately processing purchases.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and address their needs, escalating to a manager when required.
• Scan items or weigh produce, operate the cash register, accept all payment forms, and give correct change.
• Maintain the cash drawer, counting it at the start and end of each shift.
• Perform price checks, bag purchases, and assist customers with loading carts.
• Return discarded items to shelves and keep the conveyor belt, scanner, and scale clean.
• Follow store policies, wear the uniform, keep the store stocked and organized, and ensure a safe environment by securing hazards and notifying the manager.

Required profile

• Friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
• Reliability in following company policies and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently on the sales floor and collaborate with team members.

Required skills

• POS system operation.
• Cash handling and basic math.
