About the role
As a Cashier, your job is important for making sure our customers have a great experience when they shop. You'll be handling money and making sure transactions are correct.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the electronic point of sale (POS) system efficiently.
- Ring up all products accurately and provide correct change.
- Maintain balanced cash drawers and all payment methods.
- Keep the till area clean and hygienic.
- Deliver friendly, exceptional customer service at all times.
- Stay informed about product codes, promotions and advertisements.
Required profile
- Willingness to work shifts, including Sundays and public holidays.
- Previous experience with cash registers or computer‑based POS systems.
- Ability to handle customer complaints and concerns.
- Matric certificate with Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy.
- Prior cash handling experience.
Required skills
- Operating electronic point of sale systems.
- Processing cash, debit and credit card payments.
- Maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Accurate transaction recording.
