Cashier

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our team at Sedano’s Supermarkets in Miami. This full‑time position involves providing excellent customer service while accurately processing purchases and maintaining a safe, organized store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and address their needs promptly.
• Scan items or weigh produce, operate the POS/cash register, accept all payment forms, and give correct change.
• Maintain a cash drawer with sufficient currency, count cash at the start and end of each shift.
• Perform price checks, bag purchases, and assist customers with loading carts when needed.
• Return discarded items to shelves and keep aisles stocked and orderly.
• Identify and secure any hazardous situations, report them to the store manager, and take immediate corrective action.
• Follow all company policies, dress code, and uniform requirements.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety guidelines consistently.
• Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to work flexible morning or afternoon shifts.
