Cash Operations Specialist I/II – Night Shift

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking a Cash Operations Specialist for its 3rd‑shift team. You will work in a highly regulated environment handling currency and coin, ensuring accurate processing, custody, and compliance with federal and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate high‑speed currency equipment to receive, process, payout, and destroy cash.
• Balance deposits and post financial accounting entries using the bank’s accounting and inventory systems.
• Track inventory, record batch statistics, and manage transfers between internal teams and external customers.
• Maintain accurate automated accounting and transfer records, adhering to documentation standards.
• Obtain and maintain counterfeit detection certification through semi‑annual testing.
• Transfer and store large volumes of currency and coin using material‑handling equipment, complying with OSHA safety requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production standards while following strict procedural controls.
